Outdoor Lighting

(The above pictures are inspiration from absolutely beautiful things)

I know...I'm leaving my posts so behind, and then... blame the Cruise's I've been following them around (virtually, of course) on their travel to the french riviera.... for that I found this site (POPSUGAR) with tons of photos, and Sugar everything, that can literally entertain you the whole working day, LOL... shhh, don't tell or I'll get kicked out.

Getting back to my post, from Apartment Therapy today is outdoors lightening...I wanna keep these for the "lighting proyect" for the holidays... that could work out nicely.

Home & Garden from Ethan Allen

If this counts as a wish list board to post all the little things to make my dream house, for sure this would be how my garden would look like... above, is the Sage grouping of the Gazebo Collection at Ethan Allen. And below, the Island group.

The whole site is a huge collection of cute girlish things. Above Blog-ish Collages from Posie, made with vintage sewing pattern illustrations, vintage buttons, vintage wallpapers, fabrics, trims, spools of thread.

Helmick and Schechter Sculpture

Jurisprudents
2000
30'h 30'w 8'd
cast metal/stainless cable
Melvin Price Federal Courthouse
East St. Louis, IL

I'm impressed with these sculpted heads (hundreds of them) hanging from suspended cables to form two monumental heads facing each other. Below you can see the detail. Very impressive work from Helmick and Schechter.

Using traditional methods, the artists sculpted twelve life-size portraits
of ordinary American citizens-representing twelve members of a jury.
The heads were then laser-scanned, rapid-prototyped at small scale,
cast in pewter in large quantities, finished with a hand-rubbed patina,
and precisely affixed to hundreds of suspended cables.
