China Collection: eTableTop

I may have found that it's not only about the coffee itself, it has to have the perfect cup also. The one above, from eTableTop appeared on the last issue of Lucky, isn't it pretty? I might have too many cups, but still think that each has something special.... and of course, it has to be the whole thing, here is the saucer.

Etching | LatteArt

This was very impressive for me... I started looking for magic recipe that showed me how to keep the crema as it should be, but instead, I bumped into "latte art"... Something new to look up for, it really goes beyond the point of making a good espresso, drinkable art. Go here to see more about the artist behind those cups, he's also a very nice person. (see, I'm still impressed with what I saw, Steve!)

Bell Invito

Sorry I haven't post lately, I have no excuse, I just have been into making artesanal soap, that didn't result as expected... carving pumpkins, that did came out right, and very into cupcakes I have found many recipes that I might start testing today. But also, finding pictures on Flickr... I'll show you later what had all my attention yesterday, that deserves a whole post about it.

But for a start and redeem my lack of activity here, look what I found!!!
Bell Invito, invitations and stationery, printed on vintage letterpresses, some of their products include hand lined envelopes, personalized pieces, and what most cought my attentions is that the edgings and borders are finished individually by hand, as well as the hand-applied embelishments.

Handmade books

Going throug my daily readings, I found something very nice at five and half; a post from Judy from 9/7 about this small bookbindery, Tomoe Book Arts, in Washington DC, where Jennifer Beauchamp designs and assembles a line of handmade books. The whole collection is amazing, I wonder how she binds the books manually, but anyhow, they are available at the site. Pretty interesting. Here's the link for the original post. And the one in the picture, is my favorite!

Bullseye Necklace

Well, almost back to normal....(hopefully) - bye distractions that doesn't take me anywhere -. About the flash lessons, I finally did it, except uploading my finished work to any web page, gotta work on that a bit more. I've been traveling, not as far, as distracting and relaxing; I went to El Salvador the weekend before last one, and this past weekend I went hiking a volcano, the Pacaya, I uploaded some pics at my Flickr page.

I also received my teacup!!! From the teacup swap... I promise, tomorrow I'll post the picture, is an adorable antique cup with saucer, and a deliciuos tea. (Thank's Peggy!!!)

But getting back to business, this is my finding for today... amazing frosted glass rings set within each other to create those amazing necklaces, the colors are incredible a must see at Elsewares.

Tea with style

Whether your day goes right, or needs a little boost, one of these could be just what's needed. Or as they says "Girls...no matter what your day’s brewing, when life boils your kettle – make tea!" With quotes like " A Woman is like a tea bag. You don’t know her strength until she is in hot water". (Girlfriends theme) or "Was it her Mission Statement or her Wonder Bra?" Each tin contains 25 tea bags (English Breakfast, caffeinated), each with a different quotes. Check them here.

Wall decorations

Lately I haven't been able to post anything because of the many bad recurrent problems with my conection. But seems like today things are getting better. Since last week, I had my eyes on these wall decorations from ubarn outfitters, online only. But there are many to choose from. I'm flattered with the idea of just just sticking a few up and then leave it or change it every time you like.

The Spoon Sisters

Yesterday morning, I was watching the news and they started showing some "problem-solving products" some of them were normal-interesting, but there was one that called my attention, Message Bean, how cute is this?!

Believe it or not, each bean has a word lasered onto one side, and a complementary image on the other. All one has to do to see the "message" is grow the bean. The recipient simply pulls off the foil top and bottom (to let the water drain), and adds about ½ cup of water to the soil. In about a week or so, the bean will poke thru the soil revealing the special message.

As you can well imaging, I couln't leave it there, so I kept checking the site, and found this amazing soaps, they are embedded in clear glycerin soap shaped like water in a bag, - My Pet Fish, as they call it - with a little fish inside. I might be checking the site a little longer.

Meditations on the Little Black Dress

If you feel like reading, this article by Jenny Jediny, turned out interesting for me. It took me back to the Audrey Hepburn's times at Tiffany between style and singlehood thoughts. I just feel like watching the movie all over again, and start looking for a little black dress.
