hey, finally Friday!!!!!!!!!!!

For today here's a little inspiration in case you feel like decorating on the weekend. First, I found the wall art, but then the whole thing... That could be my dream room, I'm a totally graphic freak... I love it, from the pillows to the wall art, (I've said that already, right?... Oh well).

Cupcake Bakeshop

There are days, and days... today I'm not in a very art, graphic, or designed mood. I'm into more soothing things. . . for that I found that cupcakes do well, I even don't have to eat them, just watching works. Right me if I'm wrong. There is a whole cupcake revolution lately, and there are zillion of pictures and receipes. A good one that I found is Cupcake Bakeshop check it out, you'll see it does wonders to slow mornings at work.

gloss, gloss, gloss....

Why is that the lip glosses are taking over, or is it just me??? Go ahead, you are allowed, and take a look inside my purse, you will find, a clear-minty one, a soft pink, a vanilla scented, and a pretty case with 4 different shades, scents and smells; at home, I have many more... and the worst thing, I'm still getting more!!!! (By the way, you should stop at bath&body if you are like me... you'll enjoy the visit.)

I just can't resist, now they are making them so little, pretty, and heavenly scented... Go and take a look at this findings, (click here) they promise to keep my morning entertained (well, besides my office work).

P.S. hmm... I was forgetting... there's another one I got last week, pretty crystal clear little cube... brown sugar, delightful.

Finding inspiration

After reading the bio of Florence Broadhurst, a european, world-renowned wallpaper and textile designer from the 30's. -- Well, that's not the whole story. And it deserves to be told even in at least a couple of lines --She started as a singer, founded an art academy, got married, and acquired a dress shop on London, by the 60's she founded the company for which she became famous with, selling (handprinted) wallpapers, that with time and after her tragic death, it became Signature Prints... sort of (to read the whole and really accurate story go to The Opulent Prints of Florence Broadhurst, at Designboom)

Her designs have inspired even fashion designers. They are very classic and elegant. There are many inspiring collections, prints, wallpapers, limited edition art, and furnishing.

Photojojo >> Panographies

Amazing photography finding! As recently posted on one of my daily readings, Love Made Visible; Photojojo, a site devoted "to use your photos to their best advantage" posted a tutorial on Panographies, wide-angle pictures composed of several individual photos manually stitched together. So that you picture can capture everything you can see, but can't fit in one shot. A must try, one more thing on my to do list for the weekend.

Book craving

A new addition to my wishlist! ... DailyCandy A to Z has plenty of deep thoughts and frivolous tips on how to make peace with your vices, look better (than your friends), pinch pennies (or splurge shamelessly), and do unto others (or do your ex-boyfriend). Isn't it tempting? besides, the illustrations are fantastic. And if it comes like the DailyCandy emails, I think I'll love it.

Def latter today I'll stop by at Amazon, because there is this other book that has been on my mind for a couple of days. D.I.Y.: Design It Yourself by Ellen Lupton "This book is for people from all walks of life who want to publish words, images, and ideas on paper, on t-shirts, on the Web" Is good to have many design references, different perspectives, seems interesting, still wanna check the reviews though.

Whimsy Press

Today I bumped into Whimsy Press I fell in love with the designs, the colors are perfect and there are many kinds of patterns (which I also loved), for example the gift wrap, I think I was staring at it the whole morning. A must check also. There are also note cards, journals, stickers... Many nice stuff to choose from.

Black label tanks

Mary Philliphs Designs, has a great collection of tanks, (there's also tees version) as they say, has "the right dose of attitude". I love them all.

Blog buttons

As you know, I'm still learning how to deal with html, but there is nice people that make things easier.

I couple of weeks ago, I found these well designed buttons; by that time, I had a blog that didn't need html, so those pretty things were not available for me. Now, they are!!! There are custom, standard, and free buttons. I used one to link to my email, and here is theirs, you must visit them, you will find amazing designs.

Anthropologie Pillows

I don't know if the time is affecting my system or what is it. I was at the antropologie site, and found these pillows, I was tryining to keep looking at clothes, or jewelry...(generally, i love to stop a this site, the place has amazing stuff)... or something besides beddings and pillows but that strange force was winning over me. Maybe because the time here is a bit cloudy, I'm done with everything for today, I'm starving and there are still 5 long hideous hours ahead of me. The reason still goes beyond my knowledge, but the pillows are fantastic, the colors, the patterns, and designs. (Also, the duvets uffffffffff, speechless).
