A piano recital

This weekend was my niece's and nephew's piano recital. I was taking pictures of the whole family, I had a great time, and the kids were just adorable, they were the funniest in the play.

Bling Bling Announcement

With all the "bling bling" going on, Paper Bride, came up with this Bling Bling announcements... a fun and very original postcard book, with 20 of them. I love the idea of the sparkly shiny ring, blingin on, lol.

The Spoon Sisters

Yesterday morning, I was watching the news and they started showing some "problem-solving products" some of them were normal-interesting, but there was one that called my attention, Message Bean, how cute is this?!

Believe it or not, each bean has a word lasered onto one side, and a complementary image on the other. All one has to do to see the "message" is grow the bean. The recipient simply pulls off the foil top and bottom (to let the water drain), and adds about ½ cup of water to the soil. In about a week or so, the bean will poke thru the soil revealing the special message.

As you can well imaging, I couln't leave it there, so I kept checking the site, and found this amazing soaps, they are embedded in clear glycerin soap shaped like water in a bag, - My Pet Fish, as they call it - with a little fish inside. I might be checking the site a little longer.

Meditations on the Little Black Dress

If you feel like reading, this article by Jenny Jediny, turned out interesting for me. It took me back to the Audrey Hepburn's times at Tiffany between style and singlehood thoughts. I just feel like watching the movie all over again, and start looking for a little black dress.

Haute Note

Finally back, not especially happy today, everyone got the day off at the office, but me. . . seems like my day will be boring and lonely. Well, the good side of it is that at least I'll be able to catch up with you. -That if I don't get to do the work of the people that didn't come today.-

Talking about better things, I got
my book!!!! I'm so happy with it. The written part is just as light, pretty, nice, and joyful, as the illustrations. Pure chicness (is that a word? well, you got my point). Thanks a lot to the knight in a shining armor that brought it to me.

But going back to what I owe you; the findings I haven't post... I found this amazing paperie Haute Note, the print quality of their pieces seems excellent in the close up shots, as well as the colors, and designs, take a look. They even have different kinds of layouts (and very original).

eye candy

some cute & colorful cupcake pictures that I found at flickr... yummi, aren't they? there is just a latte missing.

Have been kind of unexpected the last couple of days, making my to-do list at work seems endless... but later today I'll come back with a nice finding that I have, I just haven't had the time to put everything together. :) Oh... one more thing, yesteday I tried to make my first scotty softy, (thanks for the inspiration Jenny!!!) I'm downloading the picture, as soon as it is ready, I'll post it. (see, many things that I would like to do, without mentioning that still I haven't done my homework for my flash class.... )

Apiary Design | Inspiration

Lovely stationary and details. Some of the patterns and the colors they used are based on their
inspiration gallery. Badly there are no items for sale there. But they are kind enough to share it with us, so take a look around the site.

Destination Maldives

You may want to consider the following if you are planning future vacations. My number one choice for traveling at the moment: Maldives.

Here are some links with pictures to be tempted, and also for all the planning. (keep in mind the spa at the beach, or the evian water served with Bvlgari towels at the seaplane transfer lounge, remember, details are everything)

Have a nice weekend!

fashionable soaps

A fashionable soap in the shape of a dressmaker's form, sooo cute, by gianna rose... trés chic!

l'atelier du savon, a small workshop of paris have made these colorful loofah bar soaps, that have been already recommended in some of the magazines I read, ( W, vogue, and vanity fair) and have labeled them "a fashionista cult fixation".

Sujean Rim

Lately, Sujean has become one of my favorites illustrators, fashion illustrators would be better. I love to watch her work on Daily Candy (honestly, her art is one of the reasons I'm getting the book). And for the little talk we had, she is a very nice person. So buy the book, and visit her site (Sujean Rim) to find out more about her.

Modern contemporary lighting @ 2modern.com

A lamp, can you believe it? I was looking for an acrylic chandelier that I saw a couple of days ago, and that doesn't seem to be around anymore. Instead, I bumped into this Pistillo & Pistillino Lamp, strange, funny lamp. A version of a 1969 design for Valenti, Italy. I wouldn't know where to use it, but I sort of like it.

More lighting from 2modern; again, not the chandelier I was looking for, but the patterns they have from Agnes Hoss, are very nice. A bit 70's.
